Born on 16 November 1966 in Kraljevo.
Graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Kragujevac in 1992.
Upon graduation Mr. Obradović practiced law (as a barrister) for many years, specializing in commercial law. In 1997-2000 he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of the Municipality of Kraljevo.
Prior to his appointment as Director of the Serbian Business Registers Agency, Mr. Zvonko Obradović served as Secretary of State with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia from 2006 to 2007.
As the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Serbian State Lottery, from 2004 to 2007 he was involved in the development and implementation of the new lottery organization of Serbia.
Zvonko Obradović served as Member of Parliament at the National Assembly of Serbia and Montenegro (member of the Permanent Delegation of Serbia and Montenegro in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, member of the Commission for the Harmonization of the Constituent Member States’ Legislation with the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, member of the Security Control Commission of Serbia and Montenegro).
As an expert consultant of the Steinbeis Foundation (FR Germany – Centre for South-East Europe - Rastatt), Mr. Obradović participated in several international civil projects concerned with the establishment of know-how and technology transfer centers at universities in Serbia and Germany, and with linking science and economy in business incubator centers.
He has been the Director of the Serbian Business Registers Agency since 2007. He was selected at an open public competition announced to fill the position of a director.
In the period 2007/2008 he was appointed President of the European Commerce Registers’ Forum, an international association that brings together official public registration authorities from 30 European countries. During his one-year mandate as President, the Agency organized and hosted two annual Forum conferences. Mr. Obradović also discharged the function of Vice-President of this Association in the period 2008/2009.
Zvonko Obradović is the recipient of the recently introduced annual award for Top Reformer of 2009, conferred to him by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), for his exceptional contribution to improving the efficiency of administration and the environment for doing business in Serbia.
