Delivery of electronic data from the business register

The Serbian Agency of Business Registers (SBRA) provides services of electronic company data delivery. As the statutory registration body in charge of managing business registers in the Republic of Serbia, the Agency is also the authorized source of data on registered businesses.

Which electronic company data does the Agency provide?

The data provided by the Agency to its users are the data contained in the certificate. These data are supplied in electronic format through the electronic service of the Agency.
 
Electronic data which SBRA provides to its users are:

  • Full company name
  • Registered office address
  • Date of formation
  • Registration number designated by the Statistics Office of the Republic which is at the same time also the number under which the business entity is filed in the Register
  • Legal status
  • Code and description of predominant activity
  • Full company name, registration number of the founder, if the founder is a legal entity, or name and personal identification number of the founder if the founder is a natural entity
  • Name and personal identification number of the Director and/or the members of the Board of Directors
  • Name and personal identification number of the person authorized to represent
  • The capital of the founder of the business entity (without data on the founding capital of the business entity (without data on the basic capital of the shareholders of joint stock companies)
  • Company capital.  

The Business Register also contains optional data which the business entities can enter in the registration application, if they wish.

SBRA also offers the following (optional) data to its users:

  • Abbreviated company name
  • Company name in foreign language
  • Abbreviated company name in foreign language
  • Tax identification number (TIN)
  • Bank account numbers
  • Duration, if the business entity has been established for a definite period of time
  • Name and registration number of the procurator
  • Name and registration number of other representatives
  • Data on branch offices of a business entity, as well as of the representatives of the branch offices and their authorities
  • Phone and fax number of a business entity
  • E-mail address of a business entity
  • Website address
  • Data on liquidation and bankruptcy
  • Entries of data relevant for legal transactions of a business entity
  • Data on names reserved in accordance with the law
  • Annual company financial reports, compiled in accordance with the law governing accountancy
  • Data on business entities which are inactive and have been struck off
  • Company notices of bankruptcy, liquidation and other.

 Data related to foreign legal entities and natural persons that SBRA provides to its users are:

  • For foreign natural persons  – passport number and state where issued
  • For foreign legal entities – the number under which the legal entity is filed in the Register and name of the Register.  

How are business data classified for electronic delivery?
 
The data that are an integral part of the certificate are divided into four categories:

  • First category of data (basic data) are: registration number, full company name, registered office address and tax identification number of the entity for those business entities for which the Agency has registered data.
  • Second category of data are: data on founders (company name, or name and surname and identification number, not including data on capital assets/ownership), name and surname and identification number on the persons authorized to represent and data on predominant activity.
  • Third category of data are: data on the total initial capital of business entities and the basic capital of each founder individually (not including data on capital assets of shareholders in joint stock companies)
  • Fourth category of data are: all data which are not listed in any of the previously mentioned categories, which are available on the Agency’s website.

NOTE: Any request for delivery of data from each of the numerically higher categories of data is at the same time a request for delivery of data from the previously mentioned, numerically lower categories.

How does the Agency deliver electronic data on business entities?

The Agency delivers data to its users in electronic format, with an overview of the situation as on the date of issue of the pro forma invoice or any other date specified by the user in the request order.

The user is under the obligation to provide the key search criteria for the data required in the request order.

Which are the search criteria that the user can request from the Agency?

  • Registration number of the business entity
  • Legal status, i.e. type of organization of the business entity
  • Predominant activity (the activity code must be specified in the application, as prescribed by the Law on the classification of activities in the Register of classification units)
  • Regional belonging of the company (administrative district, city, municipality)
  • Persons in any way related to the company (unique personal number of the citizen – JMBG, or passport number)
  • Name of the registration body (if data are requested for companies that have been re-registered with the Company Business Register of the Agency).

NOTE: The Serbian Business Registers Agency will not provide a comparative overview or data verification at the request of the client.
   
The user may submit a request order for delivery of data according to multiple search criteria (e.g. companies in which a certain natural person is member of the Board of Directors or Director, or all public companies on the territory of one municipality and similar).

What are the fees for services of delivery of electronic company data?

The fees are set forth in the Regulation on the Procedure for Delivery of Electronic Data and the Level of Fees Charged by the Serbian Business Registers Agency for Issuing Electronic Certificates (please see: www.apr.gov.rs).
