Donation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)

On February 14, 2008, the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and SBRA signed in Belgrade a Donation Protocol on the “Project for the Improvement of the Business Processes of the Business Registers Agency of the Republic of Serbia”, worth USD 3.2 million.

The donation that is intended for upgrading SBRA’s existing administrative capabilities provides support for establishing a one-stop-shop business registration system in the SBRA; integration of SBRA Registers; setting up a Foreign Direct Investments portal; e-Archive; and Information Hub, as well as procurement of IT equipment and training of the SBRA personnel in the Republic of Korea and Serbia.

Subject KOICA donation (which has been implemented over the 2008-2010 period) has significantly contributed to further enhancement of cooperation between the two countries in the field of ICT technologies.

EUROPEAN COMMERCE REGISTERS’ FORUM - ECRF

The European Commerce Registers’ Forum (ECRF) is an association of 30 official company registration authorities from 29 European countries: Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Guernsey (UK), Gibraltar, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey (UK), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.

The objective of the Forum is to upgrade administrative, technical and practical procedures of business registers, setting up standards, exchanging ideas, holding conferences and establishing working groups.

SBRA became a member of the Forum in 2005. From June 2007 to June 2008, the Agency was a presiding ECRF register, while SBRA Director, Mr. Zvonko Obradović, was a President of the Forum’s Steering Committee.

During its one-year presidency over the Forum, the Agency organized and hosted two annual ECRF conferences:

  • 3rd XBRL conference (Belgrade - January 18, 2008); and
  • 11th Annual ECRF Conference and General Assembly (Belgrade - June 19 – 20, 2008).

From June 2008 to June 2009, Agency was a vice-presiding ECRF register, while Mr. Obradovic was a Vice-President of the Forum’s Steering Committee.

SBRA continues its active participation in the Forum, which is now presided by the Hungarian Budapest Metropolitan Court (since June 2009).

This year’s Annual ECRF Conference and session of the Forum’s General Assembly will be held in Budapest, on June 14 and 15.


EUROPEAN BUSINESS REGISTER - EBR

The European Business Register (EBR) is an Internet-based network, which includes owners, providers and distributors of official information contained in electronic business registers and company registration authorities, making it possible for everybody to obtain comparable, official company information from 24 European countries that are currently connected to the EBR network: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey (UK), Ireland, Italy, Jersey (UK), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine and UK.
 

The EBR network allows access to about 20 million official data on companies registered in member countries, with aim of making this information as widely available as possible, thus contributing to achieving one of the basic ideas of the European Union, which is the efficient functioning of a unique European market by enhancing transparency in doing business Europe-wide.

The Serbian Business Registers Agency is integrated in the EBR network (since July 1, 2009) providing Company search (excluding sole traders), Company Profile and Company Appointments Reports.

On October 28, 2010, the SBRA will be a host of the EBR GM.

Since its establishment, the SBRA has been constantly following up activities of the two non-European professional organizations:
