Public Media

The Public Media Register began to operate on 14 October 2009, thus creating the opportunity to develop a single, centralized, electronic database on media.

The following data are subject to registration:

  • Name of public media
  • Date of establishment of the public media
  • Cataloguing data for print media, data on broadcasting licence for radio and television programs and the website for internet  media
  • Address of the editorial head office
  • Date and time of registration
  • Date and time of registration of data changes
  • Number under which the media are filed in the Register
  • Name and registration number of each founder
  • Data on the contribution in cash to the initial capital and list of all media founded by that founder
  • Data on regional distribution and rate of publishing or broadcasting of the media
  • Data on internet, electronic and other media types
  • Data on strike-off of media.

Other data may be registered as well, specifically:

  • Phone and fax number
  • E-mail address
  • Website address.
