The Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA) and the Intermediary Agency for IT and Financial Services (APIF) held a joint meeting on 11 March, 2026, with a view to exchanging the Republic of Serbia’s experience in establishing an efficient system for the registration of business entities and other legal entities registered with the SBRA, in order to support the establishment of a similar system in the Republic of Srpska. The meeting was attended by the Acting Director of the SBRA, Bojana Stojmenović and APIF's Director, Duško Milunović, along with their respective associates. The discussion focused on the twenty years of experience of the SBRA in establishing an efficient registration system in the Republic of Serbia, as well as on sharing the experiences and challenges the Agency has faced during its work, including those of a legislative nature, as well as challenges related to human resources and financing. The meeting forms part of the previously established successful cooperation and continuous support between the two institutions, which has also been formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding.

Our goal is to provide our colleagues from APIF with full professional and technical support so that the system for registering business entities in the Republic of Srpska can be as efficient as possible. By transferring the successful and proven model from the Republic of Serbia, we are contributing to the further improvement of the business environment and to strengthening economic ties between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska,” said Bojana Stojmenović, Acting Director of the SBRA.

The meeting demonstrated the intention of both institutions to continue strengthening their professional cooperation and mutual support, with the aim of harmonizing the functioning of registry authorities in the region and modernizing public administration through digitalization, thereby creating more uniform conditions for the operation of all business entities in the region.
